Its lovely when a new collection arrives in and we thought we would take you through the designs.
The new collection is a bit of a departure from the bright colours that Nila is known for – although we have chosen a gorgeous jewel coloured paisley Jani jacket/cardi, and there are two three wonderful colourful shawls. The Jani jacket is straight cut with pockets on both sides and a round neck. Large buttons add style. Its a great jacket for inside or outside wear.
We have chosen some wonderful jackets and coats with a geometric weave in browns with gorgeous shades of plum and teal. The Sula style is a shawl collar jacket, the Tilak is a loose fit oversized jacket that also looks great belted and the Nellore is a midi length long jacket or coat. Wrap yourself up and keep warm!
The Nargis coat is beautiful this year – rich dark paisley that will go with so many clothes. A really flattering cut that fits over the bust and flares out.
For tops, tunics and dresses we have chosen the Shimla because of the flattering shape and had this made up with pockets. The Roshan is a fabulous loose fit dress that seems to work well in moss crepe – the weight of the fabric really works as it has a nice drape. The Deewani is the winter version of Nila’s most popular Ruby dress. It is full skirted and the bodice is cut on the cross so it fits really nicely. There are two prints we liked this year – one has a pale grey background and the other is pale green.
We have two amazing velvet Nellore coats. A beautiful damson red and a lovely shade of green. The red is a high impact colour – a real statement piece. We couldn’t resist. The green is a delightful shade. This is such a relaxed style that you could wear it anywhere.
We have also got some moss crepe Arabia pants in which work really well with the tunics and jackets – and two scarves to go with the collection in this season’s prints..
